Singles Yacht Club at Port Orchard Oct 08

The weather always seems to cooperate for this annual October Chowderfest at Port Orchard! It was such a blast. Most of the boats arrived Saturday afternoon. There were Eleven Chowders to sample and vote for the best. The most unusual included a chicken pumpkin chowder, a red Manhattan tomato based chowder and Natalie’s Corn Chowder. After a swing dance lesson by Capt’n Lynn most of us headed to the bar to practice! Sunday was a perfect calm partly sunny day with all of us hanging out on boats or strolling through town to the antique stores.  Click on any photo to enlarge it!
